Growatt INFINITY 1500
Growatt makes more solar inverters than any other company in the world. The INFINITY 1500 is their attempt to bring that manufacturing scale to the UK consumer power station market. The result is a technically competitive 1.5kWh LFP unit at a price point that consistently undercuts EcoFlow and Jackery equivalents — with the trade-off that the brand doesn't carry the same consumer recognition.
Pros
- LFP chemistry with 3,000+ cycle life — matches more expensive competitors
- 1,500W AC output handles most household appliances
- 800W solar input — charges faster than most competitors at this price
- Significantly cheaper than equivalent EcoFlow/Jackery at UK pricing
- Built by a company that actually understands inverter engineering
- Solid app with real-time monitoring and scheduling
Cons
- Limited UK brand recognition — customer confidence lower than established players
- UK customer support is less developed than Amazon-native brands
- App interface needs polish — functional but not intuitive
- Smaller accessories ecosystem than EcoFlow or Jackery
- Resale value lower due to brand recognition gap
There's a version of the UK power station market where Growatt is the dominant brand. They have the manufacturing scale, the inverter engineering expertise, and the supply chain relationships. The reason they're not dominant is that they entered the consumer market after Jackery and EcoFlow had established brand recognition — and in a market where most buyers are making a first-time, high-consideration purchase, brand familiarity matters more than spec sheets.
The INFINITY 1500 is the product that should change that calculus. It doesn't, entirely, because brand perception is sticky. But it should.
The technical case
LFP chemistry at this price point is unusual. Most competitors at the £800–£1,000 range use NMC cells, which deliver higher energy density but degrade faster. Growatt's LFP cells in the INFINITY 1500 should sustain 3,000 cycles before dropping below 80% capacity — effectively 8+ years of daily use. That's a meaningful longevity advantage over the Jackery Explorer 1500 at comparable pricing.
The 800W solar input is also above average for this capacity class. Full solar charge from a 400W panel array takes 3–4 hours in UK summer conditions — fast enough to complete a charge in a single good afternoon.
The support question
The honest concern with Growatt's consumer products is post-purchase support. Their inverter business has established UK distribution channels; their consumer power station business does not yet. Warranty claims involve shipping units back to Europe, turnaround times are slower than Amazon-native brands, and UK phone support is limited.
If the unit works — and most do — this isn't a problem. If it doesn't, it's a significant inconvenience. Weigh that against the price advantage accordingly.
The verdict
The Growatt INFINITY 1500 is the best value LFP power station on the UK market for buyers who've done their research and are comfortable with a less-established support infrastructure. If brand recognition and support speed matter more than price, EcoFlow is the safer choice at higher cost.
